Autodesk Inventor Basic Tutorial || Link of Chain

Link-Chain

In this tutorial we would learn about the basic techniques of Autodesk inventor by modeling a Link of a chain. In creation process of this model we would learn starting a new part by selecting a specific template, then basic sketching like creating Line, Circles etc. applying sketch constrains and dimensions to create a parametric sketch. Later we would learn about Extrude, Fillet and Mirror tools. Controlling the appearance of the model and lightning setting is also displayed.

We have used this Chain Link in one of our previous animation tutorial which can be found on following link……

Note:--
We have given sufficient amount of pause over the tool tip and command prompt in the video, so that they can be read easily…must focus on them to learn and understand the software in detail.

Serial No. 6

Basic Techniques-Revolve and Sweep Features (SolidWorks 2014)

In this Basic Tutorial of SolidWorks we will demonstrate the utilization of part modeling feature named Revolve and Sweep.
Revolve Feature is used when we want to create a solid by revolving a closed sketch profile through a specified angle and along an axis.
Sweep Feature is used when we want to create a solid using a closed sketch profile and a path.
The aforesaid features are utilized quite an often while designing parts.  This tutorial is picked up from the default tutorials that comes up with the software. You can find its written version under Basic Techniques → Revolves and Sweeps.
Following is the description that is mentioned in the original Tutorial..

In this lesson, you will create the candlestick. This lesson demonstrates:
