This tutorial provides instructions for building and editing assembly shown in the illustration.
This tutorial introduces basic assembly creation techniques. Although prior experience with Solid
Edge is not required, it might be easier to follow by first completing one of the introductory part
modelling tutorials.
Building this assembly provides learning techniques such as:
• Applying assembly relationships between parts.
• Using Path Finder to manage parts in the assembly.
• Applying fixed and floating offsets to relationships.
• Patterning parts in an assembly.
• Editing parts in the context of the assembly.
This tutorial does not demonstrate everything Solid Edge can do. Its purpose is to introduce the
powerful and intuitive the Solid Edge Assembly environment and to get you started to learn more.
