Carb Spring (SolidWorks 2015 Tutorial)
The Design of ‘Carb Spring’ has been taken from Assembly file of ‘Side Exhaust-2 Shoe' of Sample files of Autodesk Inventor, it is a fragment of ‘Engine MKII’ Assembly.
In this SolidWorks Tutorial we will describe how to build the model of ‘Carb Spring’. It is a part modelling tutorial, it will cover the following topics.
- Creating 2D Sketches on different Planes of the model.
- Use the sketch constraints with help of ‘Add Relations’ tool that are applied on during sketch creation.
- Use feature commands such as Helix/Spiral, Sweep and the Extruded Cut tool.
- Use the Helix/Spiral feature for making the compression spring this feature contains a circle, the diameter of the circle controls the starting diameter of the helix.
- Use the sweep feature with the basis of circle and helix curve.
