In this SolidWorks tutorial we will learn about the basic techniques that will give a beginner quick start up knowledge of the software by developing a ‘Wheel’ model. The model is the part of a Scooter Assembly.

The video demonstrates utilization of Extrude Boss/Base Tool, Revolved Boss/Base Tool, Circular Pattern Tool, Mirror Tool and changing Material type along with basic 2D sketching.

In this video we will create the model of Magnetized Pin Box. It will be created in assembly modelling environment of SolidWorks. First we will start our work by creating the first part with the help of Extruded Boss/Base, Fillet, Shell, Extruded Cut and Circular Patten Tool. Then an assembly will be created by using the make assembly from part command. Next the second part will be created in the context of the assembly.

In this part/assembly tutorial of ‘Autodesk Inventor’ we will create a model named ‘Ashtray’.  First a new part will be created will the help of Extruded, Extruded with Cut operation, Revolve with Cut operation Tools.  To blunt its sharp edges Chamfer and Fillets will be applied.

Next a assembly will be created and the first part will be placed in it. The second part of the Ashtray model will be created in context of the first part in assembly modeling environment.  The same tools will be utilized which were used in creation of first part along with Pattern Tool.

In this way viewers will be able to watch application of many part modeling and assembly modeling techniques in this simple tutorial.
