The Design of the model ‘Front Carrier L’ has been taken from Assembly file of 'Suspension' → ‘Sample files’ → Autodesk Inventor.

In this Inventor Tutorial we will describe how to build the model of ‘Front Carrier L’. ‘Front Hub Carrier R’ (used as a derived component) has also been created by using ‘Derived Component’ command. It is a part modelling tutorial, it will cover the following topics.

  • Creating 2D Sketches on different Planes of the model.
  • Use the sketch constraints that are applied on during sketch creation.
  • Use feature commands such as Revolve, Extrude, Rib, Face Draft, Chamfer, Hole, Thread, Derived Component and Fillet tool.
  • Adds the angle to the Revolve feature with Cut option to revolve the profile through the specified angle.
  • Adds the Tapped hole on the model with thread by using the Hole tool.

In this SolidWorks Tutorial we will describe how to build the model of ‘Front Carrier L’. ‘Front Hub Carrier R’ has also been created by using ‘Mirror Part’ command. It is a part modelling tutorial, it will cover the following topics.

  • Creating 2D Sketches on different Planes of the model.
  • Use the sketch constraints with help of Add Relation tool that are applied on during sketch creation.
  • Use feature commands such as Revolve Boss/Base, Revolved Cut, Extruded Boss/Base, Extruded Cut, Rib, Face Draft, Chamfer, Hole Wizard, Cosmetic thread and Fillet tool.
  • Adds the angle to the Revolved Cut feature to revolve the profile through the specified angle.
  • Adds the Tapped hole on the model with cosmetic thread by using Hole Wizard command.
