The Design of ‘Flywheel’ has been taken from Assembly file of ‘Rear Exhaust-2 Shoe' of Sample files of Autodesk Inventor, it is a fragment of ‘Engine MKII’ Assembly.

In this SolidWorks Tutorial we will describe how to build the model of ‘Flywheel’. It is a part modelling tutorial, it will cover the following topics.

  • Creating 2D Sketches on different Planes and faces of the model.
  • Use the sketch constraints by using Add Relation tool that are applied on during sketch creation.
  • Use feature commands such as Extruded Boss/Base, Extruded Cut, fillet and the Chamfer tool.
  • Adds draft to the Extruded feature to set the draft angle for cutting the taper hole.
  • Use Circular Pattern tool to create multiple instances of one feature.

In this Inventor Tutorial we will describe how to build the model of ‘Flywheel’. It is a part modelling tutorial, it will cover the following topics.
